CYNIC, the American "tech metallers" will bring a special Focus set to the fortress for the re-release of their iconic debut album. From Belgium will come death/goregrind hurricane ABORTED, accompanied by American MISERY INDEX with their mix of death-grind. The last but not less important addition to the line-up is the melodic DARK TRANQUILLITY and their Gothenburg death metal.

"New Blood" and their modern approach - will be represented at Brutal by Australian metalcore masters THE AMITY AFFLICTION together with progressive metalcore quartet AFTER THE BURIAL. Also arriving for the first time at Brutal Assault will be the talented SPIRITBOX and TEN56 with their mixture of djent, deathcore and a dash of rap-core.

Along with them the technically proficient Canadian CRYPTOPSY will take Brutal by storm and Obscura will add a tinge of technical melo death. The death metal gore carnage will be taken care of by SEVERE TORTURE, as befits this Dutch band.
