Utarm is a chaotic unit of Black Noise Doom from Norway. Ice cold, abstract, primitive, harsh, melancholic, evil and unpure. Sindre Foss Skancke through over 20 years of existence create this there has been many different forms and expressions to this band. Going from direct noise attack, brooding synths, slow ambient landscapes to harsh Black metal territory and sorrowful doom. Utarm rarely perform live, and each performance is unique, made for the specific event rather than recreating studio works. Utarm has been labeled as an abstraction over black metal sound. Composed with guitar, synths and many different electronic elements in live setting. Utarm playing concerts around Europe has released 7 full length albums a myriad of split albums and singles through the years, a new album is coming this year.
Sindre, wich is also active visual artist, is also involved in other bands such as Gribberiket, Noisestar & the Fall of Rome, Ævegårdsjuvet and Stabwound Empire. He also has made artwork for several bands around the world among others Jordsjuk, Ruim (from Blasphemer, ex-Mayhem), Dødsengel, Obliteration, Gates of Dawn, Keres, Jordsjø and many more.
