Coming from Banská Bystrica, PATRIARCHA heads to Brutal Assault as a project that has been meticulously honing its craft since 2017, reaching a milestone with their 2022 debut album Tumulus. This is confident blackened death metal with a clear vision and international potential. Their music stands on a solid foundation of crushing rhythms and dissonant guitar textures, reflecting themes of human frailty, decay, and the inevitability of the end. PATRIARCHA avoids empty posturing; instead, they deliver a well-thought-out wall of sound where technical proficiency is used to build an oppressive atmosphere.
