Prague band BRUTALLY DECEASED have spent over 15 years carving out a reputation as the country’s definitive purveyors of old-school, Swedish-style death metal. However, on their fourth and most recent album, Chasms, released in the summer of 2024, they pushed beyond the boundaries of their signature sound, embracing influences from the American death metal scene.
Regular attendees of Brutal Assault may remember BRUTALLY DECEASED from their numerous festival appearances. In 2019, they even took the stage in place of the American legends DEICIDE, who had to cancel their set due to technical issues—a moment that cemented their place in festival history.
