Oklahoma slamming death metal outfit PeelingFlesh isn't just about blind speaker demolition. This four-piece has managed to inject uncompromisingly heavy slam with a dirty, groove-soaked hip-hop feel, street samples, and straightforward energy that instantly turns mosh pits into total warzones. Releases like Slamaholics, Vol. 2 (2023) or PF Radio 2 (2025) uncompromisingly showed what modern 21st-century slam should look like—massive breakdowns, a thick bassline, an impenetrable wall of guitar riffs, and vocals that sound like a revved-up chainsaw in a sewer.
PeelingFlesh were supposed to launch their genuine slam party in Josefov this year, but personal reasons put a stop to that. However, the band couldn't let it rest and decided to settle their debt to both the Czech and international audience at the very next opportunity. So in 2027, we'll finally get to see them! Get ready for genuine Oklahoma brutalism that will snap your cervical vertebrae.
