The legendary band EMPEROR returns to the fortress to join us in celebrating the 30th edition of the Brutal Assault festival! When they emerged from the cold Norwegian region of Telemark in the early nineties, they brought a sound that forever intertwined the uncompromising aggression of the black metal scene of the time with majestic orchestrations. Albums like In the Nightside Eclipse and Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk still serve as foundational pillars of the genre today. The path forged by Ihsahn and Samoth elevated extreme music to sophisticated art, where chilling guitar blizzards and blast beats exist in perfect symbiosis with epic keyboard soundscapes. As soon as the first notes of "I Am the Black Wizards" or the anthemic "Inno a Satana" ring out from the stage, the darkness and precision of the supreme Norwegian elite will descend upon you.
