Formed in 2020 during the pandemic, THE HALO EFFECT unites five legends of the Gothenburg melodic death metal scene. Featuring Niclas Engelin and Jesper Strömblad on guitars, Mikael Stanne on vocals, Peter Iwers on bass, and Daniel Svensson on drums, this powerhouse band reconnects with the roots of the Gothenburg Sound that they helped pioneer in the '90s. As former members of In Flames and Dark Tranquillity, they played a key role in shaping melodic death metal as we know it.
