One of the most influential avant-garde metal bands, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, is making a triumphant return to the world stage after 14 years! Hailing from California, the band began their musical journey in 1999 and quickly earned a cult following with their unique fusion of experimental metal, progressive rock, and theatrical performance. Their sound is dark and chaotic yet hauntingly melodic, featuring a mix of traditional instruments and bizarre, hand-built contraptions. With lyrics inspired by philosophy, the absurdity of life, and dystopian visions, they create hypnotic and dramatic live experiences. Though the band disbanded in 2011, their legacy continued to resonate with avant-garde music fans, ultimately leading to their long-awaited comeback, announced in 2023.
