A phenomenon that has swept across the United States and is now eagerly eyeing its invasion of Europe — PeelingFlesh from Oklahoma City herald absolute destruction through their unique fusion of brutal slam death metal with hardcore roots and a dose of hip-hop samples and groovy rhythms. The band themselves call their sound “Slamming Gangster Groove.” Formed only in 2021 by members of the now-defunct deathcore outfit Strangled, they’ve managed to build an exceptionally strong position on the American death metal scene in just four years.
From their early EPs and splits to the release of their full-length album The G Code in 2024, PeelingFlesh have made it clear they mean business and have the power and creativity to become “the next big thing” in the world of extreme music. Beyond their razor-sharp studio work, they are equally known for their raw, bleak and intensely punishing live performances.
