"Colors", the fourth studio album from 2007, is known for its structure, resembling a single continuous composition divided into eight parts. The album was a major success, selling 12,600 copies in its first week and marking the band’s first-ever appearance on the Billboard 200, where it reached No. 57. Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater named it his favorite album of the year. Critics praised Colors for its progressive approach to extreme metal and its fusion of various musical styles, including psychedelic solos, jazz, and even country elements. The album was awarded "Best Album of the Year" by Ultimate Guitar and became a landmark in modern metal. In 2021, its sequel, "Colors II", was released.
