envy is a legendary Japanese post-rock and screamo band active since 1995. The lineup features three original members—Manabu Nakagawa (bass), Nobukata Kawai (guitar), and Tetsuya Fukagawa (vocals, keys)—alongside three new members: y0shi (guitar), Yoshimitsu Taki (guitar), and Hiroki Watanabe (drums). With this refreshed lineup, the band released their seventh album, The Fallen Crimson, in 2020, followed by a live album recorded at Tokyo’s Liquidroom.

In 2022, envy released the 10” EP Seimei and embarked on a European tour spanning nine countries and 16 shows. Their latest album, Eunoia, dropped in October 2024. Regular performers at top-tier festivals like HELLFEST (FR) and FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL (JP), envy has shared stages with acts like Explosions in the Sky, Converge, Deafheaven, Mogwai, and ISIS. At HELLFEST 2022, they headlined the Valley Stage, playing to an audience of 15,000 fans.
