WHITE WARD, from Odesa, Ukraine, delivers intense and deviant music with a noir touch. Founded in 2012 and originally rooted in raw depressive Black Metal, the band quickly transcended genre boundaries, drawing inspiration from the dark atmospheres of H.P. Lovecraft and I.M. Banks. Their debut album "Futility Report" (2017) introduced a unique blend of Post-Black Metal, emotive soundscapes, and dark jazz elements featuring haunting saxophone passages. On "Love Exchange Failure" (2019), the band deepened their dark-jazz aesthetics and expanded into blackened death and progressive metal. In 2022, they continue their innovative journey with "False Light", intertwining dystopian influences and Ukrainian literary inspiration.
