TEXTURES announce their return to the scene and they will come to Josefov!

The progressive sextet founded in 2001 in Tilburg, the Netherlands, has had an interesting career. Starting with their 2004 debut Polars, they combined the mathematical style of Meshuggah with the melodicism and drive of Göteborg-bands like Soilwork in their own way to become one of the key progressive bands in Europe with their distinctive progressive mindset, featuring both djent and metalcore, with the subsequent album Drawing Circles.

TEXTURES, who from the start had a player backing their music with atmospheric synth landscapes, have always been one of the most inventive and instrumentally gifted, but from a band with death metal beginnings few would have expected such a development.

However, after a string of successful albums, with TEXTURES already appearing on the national charts since their third album Silhouettes, several line-up changes have been made and the Dutch groove innovators are calling it quits a year after the release of their fifth album Phenotype (2016), despite initially announcing it as an ambitious two-piece concept.

In the meantime, some of the members continue under the Crown Compass banner, with guitarist Bart writing solo. But this moment is crucial for the future of TEXTURES, because
they are announcing their return to the scene! And maybe they will deliver the promised second part of the Genotype concept. And if not, it's certain that they will play another unforgettable set at the fortress this summer!
