TERRORIZER

Country: United States
Genre: GRINDCORE

The origins of grindcore in the second half of the 1980s are often associated with Scum, Napalm Death's 1987 masterpiece, and the early work of Carcass. World Downfall, TERRORIZER's 1989 debut, may be spoken of reverently in the extreme underground, but the formation did not achieve worldwide success.

Yet the signatories to the ultimate and outstanding debut, which pioneered the combination of speed and aggression that has spawned countless imitators, are Morbid Angel's David Vincent (bass, vocals), Morbid Angel's Pete Sandoval (drums), Oscar Garcia (vocals) and Jesse Pintado (guitar), who joined Napalm Death after the album and who was one of the first to use the term "grindcore" for the musical blend of "noise and chaos" he was developing at the time, back in 1983.
TERRORIZER went on to spawn Darker Days Ahead, Hordes of Zombies and Caustic Attack in altered line-ups over the years, but we're interested in the present.

David Vincent is returning to TERRORIZER, so look for his next collaboration with Pete Sandoval at our fortress this summer and we'll definitely remember World Downfall!
