Hailing from New Jersey, extreme metal band Replicant stands apart in the technical death metal realm with their unorthodox fusion of dissonance, progressive elements, and crushing groove. Since their formation in 2014, they have consistently pushed the boundaries of the genre. Drawing inspiration from Gorguts, Demilich, Negativa, and Human Remains, they have carved out a unique and uncompromising identity.
Following their 2016 debut "Worthless Desires", they released "Negative Life" (2018), which cemented their reputation for bleak atmospheres and punishing rhythms. Partnering with Transcending Obscurity Records, they dropped "Hypochondria of the Machine" (2019) and the "Chasm of Aeons" split (2020). Their sophomore album "Malignant Reality" (2021) received critical acclaim, further establishing them as innovators in extreme metal. In 2024, Replicant unleashed "Infinite Mortality", supporting its release with a European tour alongside Anachronism under Occult Booking. Frequently compared to Ulcerate, Pyrrhon, Sunless, and Diskord, Replicant remain a singular force in modern death metal.
