Formed in 1980 in Bradford, NEW MODEL ARMY's origins were inspired by Nordic soul, punk rock and the excitable atmosphere of the time. Since then, they have had a long, creative and rich journey. They have been hugely influential in "post-punk", "folk-rock", "polit-rock", "goth", "metal" and various musical subcultures, but have steadfastly refused to belong to any club or style that would restrict them. Although NEW MODEL ARMY don't have a specific "genre" audience, their albums still sell in the millions, attract some of the biggest producers on the planet, and have had numerous successes.
NEW MODEL ARMY took the opportunity to look back on their long career and huge catalogue of seventeen albums in recent years as they celebrated their 40th anniversary. And this year they'll be heading to Fortress Josefov - and with the new album "Unbroken".
