LANDMVRKS, originally formed under the name Coldsight in 2014, was the brainchild of Florent Salfati and Nicolas Soriano, who envisioned creating a unique space within metalcore. Initially, Salfati played guitar while the band struggled to find a vocalist until he took over as frontman himself. With the addition of bassist Rudy Purkart, guitarist Thomas Lebreton, and later Nicolas Exposito, the band found its final lineup and renamed itself LANDMVRKS.
In 2016, LANDMVRKS released their self-produced debut album HOLLOW, showcasing a fresh blend of modern metalcore with hardcore riffs and catchy choruses. Releasing the album independently, they embarked on a European tour that included major festivals like Hellfest, building a fan base captivated by their intense live energy. After signing with Arising Empire in 2018, the band delivered a more mature second album, incorporating hardcore and ‘90s punk-rock influences. The singles “Fantasy” and “Scars” embody their evolution, proving LANDMVRKS’ capacity to carve out a distinct identity in the scene.
