KHOLD

Country: Norway
Genre: BLACK METAL

Hailing from Oslo, Norway, KHOLD emerged in 2000 with a primal sound reminiscent of black metal's early roots, akin to legends like Darkthrone. Founded by Gard (vocals/guitar), Rinn (guitar), Eikind (bass), and Sarke (drums), the band quickly made their mark with "Masterpiss of Pain" in 2001, deviating from typical black metal tempos in favor of mid-paced rhythms.

In their initial run, KHOLD released six albums, including standout works like "Phantom" (2002) and "Til Endes" (2014), before entering an indefinite hiatus. However, 2022 marked a triumphant return with "Svartsyn," staying true to KHOLD's signature down-tuned, rough, and mid-paced style. The album showcases their commitment to the raw essence of black metal.

With a strong musical backbone and clever musicianship, the band's sound features intense grooves, powerful drive, and heavy guitar riffs. It exudes raw qualities, embracing the old-school spirit of black metal while transcending conventional boundaries.Their new recoridng in the making is promising even more ultra heavy sound.  KHOLD remains true to the soul of the genre of Norwegian black metal!
