INCANTATION

Country: United States
Genre: DEATH METAL

Since the release of their debut Onward to Golgotha (1992), INCANTATION have been a true force in the American death metal scene. Their trademark rotten and stinking melodies are essential, and have been a big part of the revival of old school death metal in recent years. And the same goes for the careers of these veterans.

Although their brand of extreme Satanic metal kept them out of the mainstream for decades, their late albums (2014's Dirges of Elysium, 2017's Profane Nexus and 2020's Sect of Vile Divinities) have appeared on many music charts, giving the John McEntee-fronted quartet the strength to continue defying the icons. And so this year INCANTATION celebrated over 30 years of existence and released their thirteenth album, Unholy Deification, which once again bears their name.

The slightly rejuvenated line-up of well-experienced dudes is vital as ever and playing on full throttle, so INCANTATION's death metal know-how and power driven also by slower, almost doomy riffs is unblemished and continues to be packed with punchy morbid riffs and sepulchral occult.
