EXHORDER

Country: United States
Genre: THRASH METAL / GROOVE

Formed in 1986, EXHORDER has had an intense and tumultuous journey. After a 27-year hiatus following the release of The Law (1992) via Roadrunner Records, the band made a triumphant return with Mourn the Southern Skies (2019) under Nuclear Blast – an album widely regarded as one of the greatest metal comeback records. Despite lineup changes and the struggles of the 2020–2021 pandemic, EXHORDER has fought its way back, unleashing their latest album Defectum Omnium (“The Failure of All”) in 2024. As frontman Kyle Thomas puts it, “The world is a dumpster fire, and we are all complicit.”

The new album takes EXHORDER back to its roots, reinforcing the raw punk and thrash influences that made them a force to be reckoned with. Tracks like Wrath of Prophecies, Forever and Beyond Despair, and Sedition embody the band's relentless energy, while the doom-laden atmosphere still looms in songs like Year of the Goat and Under the Gaslight. Defectum Omnium is more than just an album—it’s an immersive sonic experience that swings between darkness and light, aggression and melody. With extensive touring plans in support of the new record, EXHORDER is finally set to claim the long-overdue recognition they’ve always deserved.
