BLOCKHEADS, originating in Nancy in the early 90s, gained momentum with the addition of Fred in 1991. Their journey saw the release of their first demo, "Haaashaastaak," in 1993, followed by their debut album "Last Tribes" in 1995, exploring ecological and cultural themes. In 1998, their second album "Watch Out" showcased hardcore influences with new members Ludo and Payot. Touring extensively, they solidified their live reputation alongside prominent bands like Carcass and Napalm Death.

Entering the 2000s, BLOCKHEADS re-released their first two albums as "From Womb To Genocide," marking their collaboration with Bones Brigade. "Human Parade" (2001) introduced guitarist Antoine and demonstrated a progression in intensity and sound quality. Their drummer Nico became a crucial component, enhancing their live performances at various festivals.

"Shapes Of Misery" (2006) saw the band refining their signature style under the production of Stéphane Buriez, with Raph joining on bass. They embarked on a tour with Mumakil and released a split 7’’. In 2012, signing with Relapse Records, they released "This World Is Dead," showcasing new bassist Erik and furthering their presence in the festival circuit.

In commemoration of their 30th anniversary, BLOCKHEADS unveiled their sixth album, "Trip To The Void," characterized by denser and darker themes, yet maintaining their commitment to honest and socially conscious grindcore.
