Besna, a post-black metal band from Bratislava, blends black metal, post-rock, and elements of Slovak folk music into a sound that is both melancholic and intense. Their debut album Zverstvá, won the Radio_Head Award for Best Slovak Hard & Heavy Record of 2022. In January 2025, they release their latest album Krásno, featuring guest appearances by Jakub Tirco of IONS, and Tomáš Beňuška of Solipsism. Today, Besna stands as one of the most compelling acts in the Central European post-black metal scene.
