AFTER THE BURIAL

Country: United States
Genre: PROGRESSIVE METALCORE / DJENT

After a four-year hiatus, progressive metal quartet AFTER THE BURIAL returns triumphantly with "Embrace The Infinity," featuring two new tracks, "Nothing Gold" and "Death Keeps Us From Living." Produced by Will Putney, the songs tackle themes of isolation, loss, and hopelessness while infused with resilience and perseverance. "Nothing Gold" reflects the band's experience during COVID-19 lockdowns, conveying a sense of impermanence. The vulnerable "Death Keeps Us From Living" explores painful loss and the vocalist's reflections on mortality. Despite challenges, the band has crafted compelling music and is poised for their most prolific era, working on a seventh studio album.

Since their 2008 album "Rareform," AFTER THE BURIAL has consistently been one of the most inventive bands in the technical (progressive) metalcore genre. The band maintains a unique approach with technically impressive and cleverly structured songwriting, avoiding conforming to mainstream trends. Utilizing an eight-stringed dual guitar barrage, their music delivers frenetic riffs and dynamic chord progressions with pinpoint precision, setting a new standard within the metal genre. Known for their hell-bent determination to forge a distinct path, AFTER THE BURIAL combines tech-wizardry, massive breakdowns, and devastating vocals, creating a voracious assault on the senses.
