ABBATH PERFORMS IMMORTAL

Country: Norway
Genre: BLACK METAL

ABBATH, one of Norway's biggest black metal icons, will play classic IMMORTAL songs in the fortress!

Blashyyyrkh! Mighty Ravendark... ABBATH, proper name Olve Eikemo, is without a doubt one of the biggest icons of Norwegian black metal. Abbath is said to have been introduced to black metal by Euronymous (Mayhem), Varg Vikernes (Burzum) by Abbath. Of course he had a band too. But despite these connections, the band was never involved in the controversies that accompanied black metal in the 90s. That band is of course the iconic IMMORTAL!

When IMMORTAL first split up in 2003, Abbath joined a Motörhead tribute band called BÖMBERS and formed a more traditional metal-driven band called I. But three years later, Immortal got back together and recorded "All Shall Fall" (2009). Even so, the rifts between the members did not cease and Abbath split for good in 2015, sparking massive controversy in the metal scene. Meanwhile, the iconic frontman with a significant "face" has become a sort of synonym for (Norwegian) black metal.

And because the old days have not yet gathered dust, Norwegian wizard Eikemo, although he has already recorded three successful albums under his ABBATH moniker, will let the IMMORTAL name come to life in a special set with his identifiable voice dedicated to freezing songs from his "home" band.
