BA 2010 poster

Shindy, will you actualize BA poster in “Press” section? It would be great to get poster with complete lineup (+ Sadist, Alkonost etc.)

Anders

IMMOLATION

I am going to BA 2010 no matter what, 2009 was awesome, but it would be so incredibly awesome if you got IMMOLATION to play a show!

DO IT

Ersegoth is right

Ersegoth is right, the presence of Dark Tranquillity would make the BA really great!

I'm coming from Canada, and I already know that the festival will be worth the trip, but with DT, it would be wonderful.

I would also like Blind Guardian (ok ok, this isn't a power festival and their tour won't star before september) or Moonspell (which aren't on tour) to get all bands of my top 3 at the fest, but I know that these 2 are more a dream than what's possible.

Another suggestion would be that the next bands are more diversified, there are enough metalcore/grindcore/other-core bands.
godplayer said 21/04/2010 09:59

Some request thoughts

I see 1349 are curently free during the summer; they only have the summer breeze festival. And it's been like 2 yers since their last presence at BA so… get their asses on the bill! (please)

Some other bands that I'd want on the bill (which are available and which won't cause to much hassle to book - me thinks):
Mumakil
Abysmal Torment
Crowbar
Pig Destroyer
Nile
Decapitated (if the Summer Slaughter dates don't interfere)
Mastodon
Sinister
Aeon

Hope I don't sound too pretentious…

BM suggestions and sth else...

There are still many great bands which don't have any confirmed activities during BA time.

- Furia (POL) - I guess most of polish participants of BA would appreciate your choice.

- Mortifera (FRA) / Angantyr (DNK) - confirmed appearance on german Under The Black Sun 2010 in July. Classics.

- Taake

- Sear Bliss

- Horna

- Forgotten Tomb

- Solstafir - they are confirmed on Wacken and Summer Breeze - Why not on BA, ehm?

- Maybe some stoner?
Electric Wizard - I haven't seen any stoner band on the list yet. And still I don't see too many old-school bands. It would be nice to have a joint during such a gig.

“Now just confirm Agalloch, and I'll turn into a believer.” me too.

Poisonblack

Only 3 bands to make this year BA billing greatest of all time:
Poisonblack
Alchemist
Dark Tranquillity
Pinhead said 16/03/2010 12:16

Whattt?

Alright, disregard all my bitching below. Bal Sagoth is confirmed, which made the line up for this year legendary. I can't believe my eyes.
Now just confirm Agalloch, and I'll turn into a believer.

Ersegoth

I have to agree, of course there are exclusive bands as always, Brutal Assault is the festival where you don't have to see popular and generic bands that are touring every summer or just having appearances in other festivals on the same days.
It's just that this year the bands haven't clicked with my taste as they phenomenally did in the previous years. Every year I was amazed how could the festival organizers have so many of my favorite bands to play, it felt fucking surreal. Well, it couldn't go on forever of course.
I just hope the rest ~20 bands will have couple of more of my expectations and will not be filler bands that are gonna play in the mornings.

(though having black bomb a play at 10 was kinda not fair, they were amazing)
Ersegoth said 02/03/2010 10:02

to Pinhead:

Sorry, friend, but I can't agree, that there are no exclusive bands in this year BA billing. For example, Kypck. Brutal Assault is their only so far confirmed show this year and they never played outside Finland and Russia. Or, Demonic Resurrection from India. BA is the only so far confirmed their show this summer. Anyway, wait for some time, and I'm sure you'll get your exclusives!:)
Blutkuchen said 27/02/2010 18:15

I just have one wouzi little tiny wish ...

..let Slapshot play!

They're already on the Sucks'n'Summer Festival in Germany that weekend. And maybe they're even touring together with Converge that days …so why not ask them to come around? Many people think they are the best Hardcore Band on the planet and also they would be very exotic in the Brutal Assault Line up. If you bring them around it's going to be the best Brutal Assault (my third) ever, I'm sure …

Regards!
Pinhead said 26/02/2010 21:36

not so good

Sorry to say this but this years line-up is a little bit generic.. I am a loyal brutal assault fan coming all the way from Armenia already for the 4th time and this is the only year that I am slightly disappointed with the billing. Where are the crazy exclusives like Brujeria, Ulver, orphaned land (they were exclusive, because they didn't play anywhere else that summer). And the perfect line-ups of the previous years…

I don't know, maybe it's just a coincidence but this year's billing has very little number of bands that I like and no astonishing exclusives yet like it had every year. Still it's better compared with the other summer festivals and I'm coming anyway. It's just I think I'll spend more time this summer drinking beer and socializing rather then near the stage. And still thanks a lot for Gojira, Ihsahn, Sigh and Kylesa.
