Dude, seriously, every year I wonder how Brutal Assault organizers' taste in music speaks with my own! I always say that next year I'll go to somewhere else, because I havn't been in many countries and I'd like to attend also some other festivals, but every summer I am forced to come to Czech Republic only because of Brutal Assault. Every year is like a dream line-up for me. And this year it's just unbelievable. Bands that I never thought I'd see live.
I've been at Brutal Assault for 4th year alread and look, it's not easy, I live in Armenia and I work half a year to earn the money for the summer's Brutal Assault, and this year I didn't have a job, but after the Ulver announcement… I will never forgive myself if I miss it. So I am gonna borrow money from friends and come back!
Uh.. please try to arrange a meet and great with Ulver, please!

I had many problems and couldn't come this year, but now that I see Ulver… I… must….. come…

+/- 60 bands should be on this year's bill. so we have about 5-6 bands to announce.
as for Shinning - it would be nice to have this band on the bill but we simply cannot fit them on the bill for this year. there are no other reasons for that decision.

the idea is that i saw that they are on an european tour in august and also doesn't play in czech.so probably would be attractive because lately many people started to listen this band.
and i don't think that they would be extremely expensive.
how many bands do you plan to confirm?how many will be on the bill?
it would be awesome if shining would play in czech at BA since unholy is cancelled.

we have only a few slots available and we have alreadz contacted bands/agents/booking agencies to fill those slots.
believe it or not quite few bands that cancelled UF were asking about BA but unfortunately we couldn't book them mostly

Bring some bands like Kataklysm, Hypocrisy or Illdisposed, etc …, if you can. It is sad, that some great bands canceled their concert

Just found out through the Bloodstock forums about Gwar cancelling there appearance there and at Brutal Assault, heres the statment from the band taken from bloodstock forum….
ATTENTION ATENTION ? this just in from Antarctica…GWAR has just released this statement from GWAR lead singer Oderus Urungus regarding the bands plans for Europe this summer!
This is ODERUS URUNGUS of GWAR with an announcement of a devastating disappointment (for you). Despite all of my loud-mouthed proclamations, and due to forces beyond our control, GWAR will be unable to perform at the Bloodstock, Brutal Assault, and Sziget festivals this year. Even as you read this, I am sticking my genitals into the burning penance altar of Nub-Shiggarath, and I demand the heads of those responsible for this blindingly blunderous example of nincompoopism! For all of the GWAR fans who have waited patiently to see GWAR in Europe, I promise vengeance. We pledge before a mountain of murdered infants, we shall return to Europe as soon as possible to finally satisfy your sickening thirst for blood.
A more comprehensible explanation comes from Oderus's alter-ego, Dave Brockie. ?We are completely bummed that we are going to be unable to play at these festivals. We had the beginning and end of the tour booked and hoped that we could fill up the center with some club shows but it just didn't happen. The festivals have exclusion zones and dates and no matter what we tried we had almost a week and a half of days off in between the gigs. As much as bumming around Europe for a week and a half sounded like fun it would spell ruin for a band like GWAR. We simply can't afford to have the gear and personnel stand still. We offer our deepest apologies and regrets to our fans and the organizers of the festivals?
This is a shame, as i was looking forward to this band :(
