Mrkobrko

we have got some 12-14 more bands to confirm but mostly smaller names.

there is a pool in the Jaromer city or river nearby the camping ground but we recommend to use the festival washbasins or showers.

a 0.5 litre beer will be 1.15 EUR this year

there were 4 cases of a robbery last year. there were 27 cases 2 years ago so I guess the robbery thing is getting much better than in the past

I have no idea about the final schedule at this moment… we should announce bands lists for every day first and later we will publish the running order… however this will not be months but weeks prior the festival

About BA

So far there are some great bands is there going ro be confirmed more (last confirm Voivod)?

Is near the festival area some kind of pool or lake for morning refreshment?

What will be the price for beer this year (1€)?

Is there going to be some better security this year, becouse I heard about a lot of robberies?

When is going to be announcesd final schedule?

THANKS FOR ANSWERS (I hope it is going to happen becouse this forum is not very active) and see you in august!

Shindy

Thank you :) It's a great thing that I know that I won't fly from Italy to Czech Republic to lose my favourite bands :D

Just a curiosity: from which station can I get from Praha to Jaromer? Shall I get a train or a bus?

warm up party + earlier start on Thursday

well almost everything was already written so I'd like just say that the warm up party will be mostly Czech bands… there may be a few foreign bands but none of the already announced bands. So you are not gonna miss Voivod or Bal-Sagoth, don't worry.

on the other hand Wednesday would be a nice chance to set your tent without a stress, get into the festival ground easily etc… Thursday will be much more rush concerning camping and get-in.

and if I said only CZ or small bands on Warm-up party I was not telling a 100% truth. there may be a surprise on Wednesday. the time has not come yet to share the details so stay tuned.

Thank you guys!

@asoj and HeavyGabry

In Czech part of forum Shindy said that none of the bands that are announced so far will be playing on Wednesday so don't worry. :) Also he said that it is planned that mostly Czech bands will be playing on warm-up party plus may be one or two foreign bands.

answer to heavygabry

Shindy said a couple of weeks before: “as for the schedule… we have no exact date when it will be published… keep checking the SCHEDULE section from time to time. I guess there will be bands listing for each day published earlier than the actual running order.”

I'll really happy that the festival will have more bands that was first announced, by my train is scheduled on thursday (august 12) and I'll get to Jaromer around 2pm. So, I do not have to choice to miss the bands on wednesday and those who'll start at noon on thursday. I just wish that all the bands I really want to see won't play at these moments!
HeavyGabry sagte 06/05/2010 19:53

running order?

Are there any news about running order? Especially for the warm up day? I'm coming first of all for Bal-Sagoth and Voivod so I don't wanna lose them because I'd arrive in the evening of 11th August!
Just bought tickets :)

RE: Nationality

Most people are from Czech and Poland (about 60% I'd say). Also there are many from Germany, Austria. Overall you can easily find people virtually from everywhere in Europe.
There are not so many people from Americas but I saw some (e.g. Brazilians, Canadians, not sure about U.S.). And even some crazy Australians. :)
asoj sagte 22/04/2010 02:10

Nationality

According to last years editions of the festival, what are the nationalities of the people attending the festival?

Is the majority from Czech Republic only, or from other European countries? Are there people coming from Americas?

I'm wondering if I'm going to be one of the only who will cross the ocean to attend the festival?

Schedules

Thanks for the info Shindy!
Shindy sagte 15/04/2010 19:09

more than 10

well, there will be more than 66 bands… the final number will be around 75 so expect even more names to come!

as for the schedule… we have no exact date when it will be published… keep checking the SCHEDULE section from time to time. I guess there will be bands listing for each day published earlier than the actual running order.

Schedules

A few questions to the organizers: How many bands are still to be revealed and when will the schedules be posted on the site?
HeavyGabry sagte 01/04/2010 22:28

@ Mainly_Drinking

Thanks, but I think it would get a little expensive :)
Maybe the best solution is camping…
DEAD_MoroZ sagte 01/04/2010 11:07

@asoj

In this email they thanked you for your interest and say that will contact you shortly.

About hotel in nearest cities. You can book in Hradec Kralove: as it was said earlier there will be official BA taxis to this city after concerts (it's not expesive - only 500 CZK (about 20 EUR) per car - it's 125 CZK per person - and don't worry you'll easily find people wishing to share). And in the morning you can take a train to BA site.
asoj sagte 31/03/2010 18:30

Hotels

I just checked the pension near the festival area and Hotel 28. They are both full.

I also wrote to Nova America, but I got this answer, which I"m unable to read:
Vážený zákazníku,

děkujeme za Vaši poptávku. Vyčkejte na potvrzení, budeme Vás kontaktovat.

Does anyone knows what it means?

I'll be in the middle of a backpack trip in Europe (im from Canada), so I cant bring a tent. That's why I need to find somewhere else to sleep.

I looked at train schedule and there are no trains to go back in another cities at night, if a find a hotel in the region.

I will try to find if there are possibilities for couch surfing or something like that.
Mainly_Drinking sagte 29/03/2010 08:47

cheap accomdoation?

To HeavyGabry: I tried to find accomodation from Jaromer also but all the hotels and hostels I found were booked full. My solution was to book a hotel from Hradec Kralove, right next to the railway station. Take a train to the festival in the morning and come back with a BA taxi at night. Should not be overwhelming if you have more than one person to share the costs.
HeavyGabry sagte 28/03/2010 22:31

cheap accomdoation?

Hi all, I'm coming to BA this year and I'd need a cheap accomodation near the location… I've tried the links suggested by the festival site but nobody have answered me yet! I'm coming from Italy so I'd like to have a place where to stay when I arrive xD do you know any? Even someone who rents rooms in his own house…
Thank you all
DEAD_MoroZ sagte 20/03/2010 16:33

From BA to airport

It's pretty easy.
First you should take train from Jaromer to Prague. The earliest direct train is at 7:41 and it arrives to Prague at 9:47. If you want to go earlier there are couple of options with change at Hradec Kralove: 5:41 (in Prague - 7:47) and 6:40 (in Prague - 8:47). For more info check www.idos.cz All these trains terminate at Praha Hlavni Nadrazi (Prague Main Station).
Then you have 2 options:
1. Express bus to airport. The bus number is AE and it departs directly from railroad station. It's pretty expensive one but you can buy railway ticket from Jaromer to Airport (the station name is Praha-Letiste) and this ticket will cost 193 Kc against 170 Kc Jaromer-Prague Main Stations (so for bus you'll pay only 23 Kc wich is actually lower than public transport).
2. Public transport. In this case the best option is not to go directly to metro at main station but to have a 5 min walk to Museum station (http://tinyurl.com/yejeayg [tinyurl.com] than you take metro B (green line) to Dejvicka station (this is terminal one) and from here you take bus 119 to airport (stops are called Terminal 1 and Terminal 2). Public transtoprt ticket costs 26 Kc and it's valid on all kinds of public transport (but not valid on AE bus) for 90 mins.
The way from main station to airport on Sunday can take up to 1 hour (including times to wait transport).
